We want to make sure your chocolates arrive to you in extraordinary condition, every time. Our shipping team takes extra time and care to make sure your chocolates are beautifully packaged. Each shipment is wrapped in our Lake Champlain Chocolates' signature tissue paper, and includes a complimentary, personalized gift message. After all, your gift should look as beautiful as the chocolates inside it.
Like most Vermonters, our chocolates don't like the heat and humidity. To ensure that your chocolates arrive safely and ready to be enjoyed, we pack each box with special insulation and gel ice packs, as needed.
For shipments to warm weather destinations and during the warm weather months, we take extra precautions and ship via expedited Next Day Air. For these occasions we will only ship orders on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (in order to prevent your chocolates from sitting on a hot truck over the weekend).
We ship exclusively with UPS, and transit times vary depending on destination. Standard deliveries are only made on weekdays. Standard delivery service takes 1-6 business days. If you wish, 2 Day (delivery within 2 business days), Next Day (delivery within one business day) Air Service, and Saturday Shipping are available for an additional charge. Orders placed before 2:00PM ET are shipped the same day.

General Ordering Deadlines - Standard (Ground) Delivery
Below is a map of the number of days it takes to ship from Lake Champlain Chocolates in Vermont. If you are shipping to an address outside of New England, there may be additional shipping charges to expedite your order so it doesn't melt in transit. See our Summer Shipping Policy for details. Due to the warm weather, we are currently shipping Next Day Air outside of New England. Note: UPS is not guaranteeing delivery dates during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Saturday delivery is intended for residential addresses. You may choose this option for delivery at a place of business only if you are certain that the business will be open. Please include the name of the business in the address. Unfortunately, this option is not available for hospitals, as most will not process deliveries on a Saturday. Note: You must call us to arrange for Saturday delivery. There is a $30.00 surcharge for Saturday Delivery.
Warm Weather Shipping
For shipments to warm weather destinations and during the summer months, we must ship orders via the following methods to prevent chocolates from melting in transit:
April 29 - September 16 To ensure safe delivery, Ground Service and Next Day Air orders ship on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays only. To prevent your chocolates from sitting on a truck over the weekend and melting, orders are not shipped out on Fridays.
Ground Service - regular shipping rates Available to New England states (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT)
U.S. Next Day Air - add $35.00* to Ground shipping Required for all other states outside of New England
Local and state sales tax is charged on orders (both on merchandise and shipping charges) being shipped to addresses in the state of Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Texas, and Wisconsin. These tax rates vary by city and county. For specific amounts, please call 1-800-465-5909.
Please note that we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes. You must provide a street address for your order. Be sure to include appropriate suite or apartment numbers when necessary to ensure proper delivery.
UPS may deliver on the weekend to certain zip codes. During warmer weather, we may choose not to ship an order over the weekend so your chocolates will arrive in perfect condition upon receipt.
Due to the perishable nature of our chocolates, we are not able to ship outside of the U.S.
