What is “drinking chocolate”? It’s how your great-great-grandparents enjoyed hot chocolate. While “hot cocoa” (also delicious) is made with cocoa powder, drinking chocolate is made by melting solid dark chocolate in milk. So it’s like drinking a really good chocolate bar — intense, rich, and smooth. If you’re a long-time fan of our Old World, you may notice it’s now made with chips, rather than curls or “shaved chocolate.” We made this change for one reason: because the chips are fair trade certified. As a bonus, using chips lets us package the same weight of chocolate in a smaller canister, which is better for the environment. So fix yourself a cup, relax . . . and sip into something delicious.
