Sweet Relief- An evening of fine beer, chocolate & music

As you may have figured out by now, we’re big fans of chocolate and beer— both separately and together.

Every year our beer and chocolate pairing workshops at the Vermont Brewer’s Festival are sold out. And so we thought, why not throw a beer and chocolate pairing party to benefit a great cause!

For the second year, we’ve teamed up with some great local folks to put on an evening of fine beer, chocolate and appetizers to raise money for the Sara Holbrook Community Center.  The Center, located in Burlington’s Old North End,was founded 73 years ago by Sara Holbrook, a clinical psychologist from the University of Vermont. Since its inception, the Center has been providing support and programs for low-income children and their families. Annually, 4000 individuals, including refugees and immigrants, take part in the Center’s programs: preschool, after school, teen activities, English classes for adults and children, summer camps, and basic needs assistance.

We are so thankful that we have so many amazing brewers right in our backyard:  Switchback, Zero Gravity (American Flatbread), Long Trail and Wolavers have all generously donated their time and delicious brews to the event.  Selected flavors from each brewer will be carefully paired with chocolate covered orange peels, organic mango and Ethiopian truffles, sea salt caramels, hazelnut pralines, the Grace Under Fire bar and many more!  The sounds of the amazing Dave Grippo Trio will top it all off.

The event takes place at the Main Street Landing Performing Arts Center on November 17 from 5:00-7:30pm and tickets are $40 each.  Hope to see you there!
