Choctoberfest 2011!!

There is no beer, sauerkraut or sausage served at this festival.  And no one will be wearing lederhosen while listening to Oompah bands.

There will however be lots of chocolate!

Choctoberfest is a celebration for all chocolate lovers!  From October 27 -29, our three retail stores will be celebrating all things chocolate.  Here is the scoop:

Free Tours:  Free Factory tours on Thursday & Friday, on the hour from 9am to 2pm.  Learn how chocolate is made, the history of LCC and enjoy a chocolate tasting of milk, dark and white chocolate.

Free Tastings:  We will have LOTS of free samples, including a hot chocolate tasting.

Special Pricing:  Great prices on all sorts of chocolates.  Come stock up on your favorites like gourmet hot chocolate, delicious truffles and rich, buttery caramels.

Learn to Taste workshop:  On Saturday October 29th, from 12-4pm, LCC is partnering with Slow Food Vermont to conduct a tasting workshop.  Participants will learn how to slow down and really taste what they are eating by experiencing and being conscious of all five senses.  At the end of the workshop, people will be able to put their learning to the test by tasting three different chocolates and matching them with the correct flavor profile.  Those who get all three correct will be entered into a raffle to win a basket full of our finest chocolate confections!

The workshop takes place at the Factory & Retail store on Pine Street in BUrlington.

All three stores, 64 Church St and 750 Pine St in Burlington and on Route 100 in Waterbury, will be offering chocolate and hot chocolate tastings and sweet deals on chocolate.  In addition, the three stores’ cafes will be serving cappuccinos, lattes, ice cream, gourmet coffee & teas, cold beverages and milk shakes.

Come join us!  Ja! Ja!
