Lake Champlain Chocolates Unveils New 2010 Holiday Offerings at the Summer Fancy Food Show
June 24, 2010 :: BURLINGTON, VT—Lake Champlain Chocolates (LCC) will be exhibiting at the 2010 Summer Fancy Food Show in the Vermont Specialty Food Association Pavilion at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City from June 27 to 29. They will be introducing over twenty new gourmet chocolate products at the Show, perfect for the fall and winter holidays.
Warm up with our newest hot chocolate trends and blends
“While our focus for 2010 was new holiday themed products, we also are pleased to introduce two new flavors of gourmet hot chocolate,” said Allyson Myers, Director of Sales and Marketing for Lake Champlain Chocolates. “The hot chocolate gifts line is among our top selling product categories in both our wholesale and consumer business. After discontinuing the New World Drinking Chocolate last year, we wanted to fill that void, as well as expand the line. We studied current flavor trends in the specialty food market and also considered perennial customer favorites. Chai and mint came to the top as flavor profiles to combine successfully with our chocolate.”
Mountain Mint Hot Chocolate: Refreshingly chocolaty, this is the way hot chocolate should be. We’ve combined peppermint with our famous chocolate to create a gourmet hot chocolate that achieves that perfect balance of cool mint and rich chocolate. This will become a holiday classic. SRP $8.95
Chai & Mighty Hot Chocolate: We’ve put our own twist on this ancient beverage which has been savored for centuries. By replacing the tea with premium cocoa and blending it with cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger, we’ve created a sweet and spicy taste sensation that is rich, full-bodied and deeply satisfying. SRP $8.95
Lake Champlain Chocolates will also be offering its three most popular flavors (Traditional Hot Chocolate, Organic Hot Chocolate and Spicy Aztec Hot Chocolate) in bulk for use in café and food service, opening up a new market for the chocolate company.
Fall into autumn
For fall, Lake Champlain Chocolates is offering several new Halloween chocolate products, including the Haunted House, designed in the shape of a house with fun Halloween graphics and filled with a deliciously spooky assortment of milk and dark chocolate coins; the Caramel Pumpkin Gift Bag, the first time LCC has paired dark chocolate and caramel, making this a perfect grown up treat for the holiday, and the Assorted Pumpkins and Leaves Gift Bag with peanut butter and milk and dark chocolate caramels. LCC is also offering a new 16-piece Chocolates of Vermont gift box with playful yet sophisticated graphics that capture the essence of autumn in Vermont.
Celebrate the holidays with these new chocolate products
“We are thrilled to offer so many new holiday chocolate gifts for the 4th quarter this year. With the movement towards keeping retail prices under $15.00, we kept our focus on developing products that delivered this price point. Nostalgic Christmas flavors including peppermint and spiced rum are also featured in the holiday line year,” said Myers. In addition to over twenty updated seasonal packaging designs, Lake Champlain Chocolates has 11 new products just for the Christmas season. Highlights include the following:
Peppermint Cheer: Sweet white chocolate combined with a cool dark mint center is a classic flavor of the holiday season. With crushed all-natural peppermint sprinkled on top, this treat is guaranteed to make you merry. SRP $5.95 Also available in bulk.
