LAKE CHAMPLAIN CHOCOLATES’ DISTRIBUTION CENTER COMPLETES WILLISTON MOVE
August 9, 2010 :: On Monday, August 9, Lake Champlain Chocolates (LCC) will complete the relocation of its packaging and distribution center from Burlington to Williston, Vermont. Originally announced in April, this move will provide the company the flexibility to accommodate its ongoing growth.
“With increased sales in our mail order chocolate business, numerous partnerships with companies such as Vermont Teddy Bear, Crate and Barrel, Whole Foods and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, as well as the addition of 20 new gourmet chocolate products to the 2010-2011 catalog, the move will provide us with the extra space we need to continue this growth,” said Allyson Myers, Director of Sales and Marketing.
Dealer.com, which originally shared space with LCC in the LEED Certified 444 Pine Street location, will expand into LCC’s former space.
Jim Lampman, owner of LCC, notes that while the ultimate goal is to have all operations in one location, this move will allow LCC time to find a site that meets all of its needs. The company’s administrative offices, production and retail chocolate store will remain at the original 750 Pine Street location in Burlington, Vermont.
