January 8, 2008 :: (Burlington, VT) Lake Champlain Chocolates (LCC), a gourmet Vermont chocolatier and maker of Old World Drinking Chocolate was selected as “this category’s clear winner” in a taste test of Hot Chocolates conducted by Good Housekeeping Magazine.
In a recent panel hosted in the Good Housekeeping Test Kitchen, hot cocoas and chocolates from 19 different manufacturers were tested in both milk chocolate and dark chocolate categories. Each company could only participate in one category and in the dark chocolate category, Lake Champlain Chocolates All Natural Old World Drinking Chocolate came in a definitive first place. Comments about the Old World Drinking Chocolate from flavor panel included “big, thick texture” and “hints of mocha and caramel”.
